THEATRE

Originally used as a small cinema to mix audio for film, the theatre is a large acoustically treated space (15m x 8.5m with 5m ceilings) equipped with drum kits, grand piano, upright piano, various amps, Fender Rhodes, Wurlitzer and more. It is a big, luxurious space that feels a bit like a very large lounge room or small cinema (circa 1970ish!).

It is one of the largest recording facilities in the state. Don’t get us wrong, DIY home studios are absolutely fantastic (and it is where lots of our team started), but sometimes you just need a big old room to get things done!

Acoustically the space sounds amazing, with enough treatment to tame anything unruly, but not so much to feel lifeless and uninspiring. It’s great for absolutely everything, from getting a massive blown up drum sound, to big bands, folk and chamber music.

PROJECTION ROOM

As the title suggests, this room housed the projectors for screening films in the theatre back in the day. Now it is home to our Control Room, where all tracking, mixing and mastering action takes place. There's 2 comfy couches for bands to listen back to takes and get stuck into post-production. And more lamps! For a list of monitoring and other gear related stuff head over here.
